Tibor Gáspárdy

He was born in Sopron in 1960 into a family of artists. He graduated from the University of Pécs, Faculty of Visual Arts as a teacher of arts in 1984. He pursued his studies at the Faculty of Visual Culture of the Universiy of Art and Design from 1998-2001. He has been a reader at the Faculty of Visual Arts and Music at the Benedek elek Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of West Hungary since 1992.

He has been an exhibiting artist since 1986. He was voted member of the Painters’ Section of the National Union of Artists (Visual Arts Fund) in 1994. He is also member of the Society of Artists in Sopron.

The sources of his themes are his city, Sopron, its romantic atmosphere and the Transdanubian countryside. Ease, expressiveness, radiant colours and softness characterise his works. …”
